More and more people lease an electric car. What should you know before you choose?
Why lease electric?
An electric car has fewer parts that wear out, so maintenance is often cheaper. With a lease you also do not carry the risk of the residual value of the battery and the car yourself.
Charging at home or on the road
If you can charge at home, that is usually the cheapest. Some leasing companies offer a charging card or a home charger as an option. Ask about it in your request.
Range and use
Look at the real-world range in winter and on the motorway, not only at the stated WLTP value. If you often drive long distances, pay attention to fast charging.
Tax
The rules for road tax and the addition to taxable income for electric cars are changing in the coming years. Check the current rules with the Dutch Tax Administration.
